The strength and resiliency of people like Nadeeka means poverty can be overcome

Before HOPE supporters put their compassion into action, Nadeeka and her family struggled significantly. There was never enough food to eat, no medicine for her ailing son, and no job prospects to support her family.

Today, just one year later, Nadeeka is the proud owner of a thriving sewing business. The income she earns enables her to feed her family every day, pay tuition for her school aged children, buy medicine when needed and save for the future.

Nadeeka was even able to add a room to her modest home so her children, now excelling in school, have a place to study.

The same training and support Nadeeka received as a member of a HOPE-supported Self-Help group member will transform other families.

Putting compassion into action today will support women in their efforts to earn sustainable livelihoods through small businesses like rope making, mushroom growing, organic farming, dairy production and more.
