- More than 600,000 people have fled their homes to escape the violence that descended on their communities.
- Women and children make up 70% of the 600,000 people displaced.
- People are deeply traumatized by the unspeakable violence they have survived.
- Most were forced to flee their homes within minutes, or risk being maimed or killed.
- All are now homeless and have nothing.
