• More than 600,000 people have fled their homes to escape the violence that descended on their communities.
• Women and children make up 70% of the 600,000 people displaced.
• People are deeply traumatized by the unspeakable violence they have survived.
• Most were forced to flee their homes within minutes, or risk being maimed or killed.
• All are now homeless and have nothing.
